"Dunki, a 2023 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film, explores the unconventional theme of donkey flight, a term coined for illegal immigration. The film is a collaborative effort directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani, who co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, the star-studded cast includes Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, with a special appearance by Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani.
Announced in April 2022, the film commenced principal photography the same month, spanning various locations such as Mumbai, Jabalpur, Kashmir, Budapest, London, Jeddah, and Neom, concluding in April 2023. Pritam crafted the soundtrack, while Aman Pant composed the evocative background score. The cinematography credits go to C. K. Muraleedharan, Manush Nandan, and Amit Roy.
